Christmas Market 2007

Piped in by Master Piper Angus Macdonald, Katy Merrett our Fete Queen opened the market at 10am. A large selection of goods were on offer, all funds going to charity.

Removal of the Tenor Bell

29 May 2007, the cracked Tenor bell is removed from the tower to be transported to Newmarket to be repaired. Henry Trewin (Tower Captain) and Peter Bazley (Bell Hanger) were in charge of the operation. The bell was returned at the end of September and re-hung, during it's absence, the whole tower bell frame was repaired.

Kilkhampton Fete 2007

Saturday 7 July 2007, we were certainly lucky with the weather! The crowning of the fete queen, Katie Merritt, by the former Queen Nicky Bloomfield took place at the lych gate followed by a procession, including horse, carriage, royalty, brownies and a large crowd led by the Bideford Youth Pipe Band to Lamb Park where the fete was officially opened.
